Sudoku Variations

In our Sudoku variations we go beyond the simple job of placing 1-9 in the grid. In some puzzles, perhaps some spaces only allow even or odd digits; or perhaps a marked space in the grid has to match exactly one other marked spaces. We have lots of variations...

You can try out many of these variations in our free printable puzzles.

  • Trividoku #1 Fill in the grid as normal, except nine or more spaces can also be filled in if can match some themed trivia questions.
  • Trividoku #2 Another 100 trivia themed puzzles.
  • Stars & Stripes In these puzzles, rows and columns have 12 cells; each containing 1-9 and three stars.
  • Sudoku Islands Groups of cells form islands in the grid. In addition to the normal Sudoku rules, each island also has 1-9 uniquely.
  • Sudoku Atlantis New rules control what goes into certain marked cells. Some are odd, even, 7-9, 1-3 and other variations. As you solve the puzzle, learn the fate of the inhabitants of Atlantis.
  • Sudoku Earthquake On top of the normal Sudoku rules, each puzzle has a fault line. Below the puzzle, you see which digits appear in the fault.
  • Sudoku in Wonderland Poor Alice is trapped in a land of digits. Many new variants appear as she and her trusty companion, the digit 3, seek to escape.
  • Sudoku Soup Another 100 variation puzzles with food themes. Nuts, crackers, shrimp, cherries - it's just what you need to sate your Sudoku appetite.
Cryptic Word Searches

Traditional Cryptic Crossword puzzles have tricky clues that are half definition and half wordplay clues.

What we do is instead of presenting them in a normal crossword format, we put the answers into a word search puzzle.
